Car shipping costs from the UK to Hong Kong start at £755 when shipping a standard saloon car using our shared container service. To ship using our Roll-on Roll-off service costs start from £1,038. These costs may vary depending on the type of vehicle. For example, shipping a 4x4 via shared container costs £805.
The car shipping rates shown below are current at the time of writing, but please check with us prior to booking. Rates are port to port shipping only and exclude documentation and customs clearance costs, duties and taxes, car collection costs, and redelivery (if required) at the destination.

Shared Container / R-Rak Car Shipping to Hong Kong
Using the unique R-Rak system allows us to load up to 4 cars into a single 40ft container. This reduces the overall shipping costs for each car, allowing us to offer a much lower price when compared with some other services.
R-rak is now proven to be the safest method of shipping cars overseas and the system allows us to ship on a more regular bases and direct from the UK to Hong Kong, allowing us to offer considerable savings to our clients. With R-Rak you may also ship personal belongings, spare tires or tools inside the vehicle. This option is not available for Roll on Roll off shipping. To read more about R-Rak, click here.
We also offer a sole use container services where you have the whole container to yourself, allowing you to load personal items along with the car. Sailings for our sole use service depart from London and Southampton every two weeks.
Roll on Roll off (RoRo) Shipping to Hong Kong
We offer RoRo services for a wide range of vehicles including cars, SUVs, trucks vans and buses. When shipping by Roll on Roll off, vehicles are driven onto a specialised RoRo vessel and secured under the deck to protect them in transit. Sailings are regular, departing every two weeks from Southampton.

In this video we show you our process for shipping your car from the UK to Hong Kong in a 20ft container.
- The car is loaded and secured at our facility to ensure it doesn't move during shipment.
- It is driven into the container and positioned before all four wheels are safely chocked using either metal or wood chocks.
- Strong, padded ratchet straps are used to lash the wheels to the container's built-in securing eyelets.
- If straps cannot be secured around the wheels, the vehicle's front and rear towing eyelets are used for secure lashing.
- All shipping containers adhere to strict safety regulations, ensuring structural integrity and protection from weather conditions.
Customs Rules and Documents for Shipping Cars to Hong Kong

Documentation we need to ship your car to Hong Kong
Please provide us with copies of the following documentation when arranging the shipment. We only require copies, not the original documents.
- Copy of the V5 (Licence Document) for your vehicle
- Copy of the photo page of your passport
- A copy of a valid MOT certificate if you require us to arrange collection of your vehicle in the UK using an insured driver. If your vehicle does not have a valid MOT, or if you would simply prefer, we can arrange collection using a recovery vehicle or enclosed collection vehicle
